ABOUT ME

Matei Cananau, MSc Machine Learning, MSE Media Technology student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. CTO and co-founder at Servai, where we build AI chatbots for businesses.

Philosophy plays a major role in my decision to work with AI. I believe consciousness cannot be reduced to code, and I reject the idea of "thinking" machines. Modern philosophy has lost many of its great AI critics, like John Searle and Joseph Weizenbaum. This is partly because of financial interests, and partly due to the majority of scientists and philosophers sharing the same materialist worldview. I wish to fill that gap.
